My original african series was inspired by the people and places I was able to visit during the late 1990’s. The sketches, pictures and memories combined to create a fairly extensive series where I attempt to capture everyday moments of life in my own style, provoking questions through composition and colour.

Some of the pieces in this series are my diary of the shapes and colours for example the jewellery which I was fascinated by and the clothing such as the swaddle used for the babies.
